The MCCFA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the Master Plan design concept is approved. The Design Team and Operations Committee had several working sessions and deliberation around what is required for an updated/renovated Dayton Convention Center. A new market study was conducted and will be published at a later date, however this market research supports the recommendations for each space at the Center and what facility users expect today. 75 meeting planners were surveyed with specific questions about the importance of several emerging trends in the industry including COVID influences and analysis on the CC industry as it relates to recovery. The report provided our team important research produced data that supports the master plan recommendations and provides informed guidance for the type of renovations as we move into schematic design.

Next up, an RFQ/RFP process has begun to hire a CMAR in Q1 of 2022. The Dayton Convention Center will remain open and operational with a phased approach during the renovation process to minimize disruption as much as possible.
